Industrial sensors convert position, distance, pressure, temperature and flow into electrical signals — the perception layer. Pepperl+Fuchs (inductive/capacitive/photoelectric), IFM (flow/pressure/vibration), SICK (photoelectric/laser/safety), Balluff (linear position/RFID) and Turck (IO-Link) lead the German market.

FAQ
Q Inductive vs capacitive?
A
Inductive detects only metal (Sn 0.4-60 mm), high stability. Capacitive detects metal/liquid/plastic/powder but sensitive to dust/humidity. Metal → inductive.
Q IO-Link 1.1 advantage?
A
Digital communication on three-wire — process values (distance, temperature drift), remote parameterization, device ID, diagnostics. Siemens and Beckhoff PLCs support natively.
Q IP67 or IP69K?
A
IP67 dust + short submersion, normal factory standard. IP69K adds 80°C 80 bar high-pressure hot-water washdown, mandatory in food/pharma/animal feed.
