Battery industry covers Li-ion (NCM, LFP, solid-state), lead-acid and fuel cell technologies for EVs, energy storage and consumer. CATL, LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI and Panasonic dominate traction batteries. Lines include coating, calendering, winding, formation and grading — demanding cleanroom (-45°C dewpoint dry rooms) and μm-level coating precision.

FAQ
Q NCM or LFP?
NCM: high energy density (180-220 Wh/kg), long range, but cobalt-expensive and low thermal runaway (180°C). LFP: safe (300°C+), long life, cheap, lower density (140-160 Wh/kg). Commercial vehicles + storage → LFP; long-range passenger → NCM.
Q Solid-state battery status?
Toyota and QuantumScape target mass production 2027-2028; energy density 350+ Wh/kg, non-flammable. Bottlenecks: sulfide electrolyte cost and interface resistance, immature mass-production process.
Q Core line equipment?
Coaters (Pioneer, Manz, Coatema), calenders (Schuler), winders (Pioneer, CKD), formation cabinets (Voltasense), capacity testers (Bitrode); dry-room humidity from Munters / Kaeser.
